Tom Belz (born 1987) is a motivational speaker, keynote speaker, and expert in mental strength, resilience, and change management. His life story is extraordinary and highly relevant for companies, executives, and teams.
At the age of eight, Tom was diagnosed with a bone tumor and lost his left leg. Rather than letting this define him, he consciously chose a self-determined life full of possibilities. At twelve, he made a bold decision: he refused a prosthetic leg, seeing it as more of a limitation than a help.
What followed is an inspiring journey of willpower, determination, and mental strength. Tom played football, learned to swim, surf, dive—and at 33, he climbed Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. At the summit, he triumphantly raised his crutches—a powerful symbol of perseverance and self-confidence.
